Our first PeopleStories Academy workshop

We’re excited to share another milestone: PeopleStories Academy has delivered its very first workshop.


On 15 August, 28 leaders and young professionals in Siem Reap joined our Communication with Influence workshop, the first practical learning experience delivered through the newly launched Academy.


The 3.5-hour session focused on helping participants understand their own communication style, adapt their approach to different people and situations, and feel more confident navigating everyday workplace conversations.


But rather than tell you what participants learned, we thought we’d let them share it themselves.

For us, this first session was an important moment. After months of developing the Academy's programs, it was wonderful to see the learning come to life and, most importantly, to see participants engaging with the content and putting new skills into practice.


A special thank you to Ashley Irving and the Australian Centre for Education (ACE) Siem Reap for sponsoring this development opportunity for Cambodian leaders, and to SPOONS Cambodia for providing the venue.


This is just the beginning of PeopleStories Academy. We look forward to continuing to create learning opportunities for people across Cambodia to develop their leadership and workplace skills.


And, as with every Academy programme, this work also contributes to the wider PeopleStories mission of creating educational opportunities for children in rural Cambodia.
