My Own Fear or Own My Fear?

I remember... one of my senior leaders used to spot my grammatical mistakes in emails or presentation like a flash, which was way before he even paid any attention to the messages I was getting across    I used to mind it, in fact hated it!  I felt absolutely embarrassed about it.  

This not only dented my self confidence, but also encouraged my self doubt.  I didn't like it!

To fully embrace work and life, I need to face my own fear.  Fear of failure.  Fear of embarrassment.  Fear of non-acceptance... I want to throw you all out of the window!

Tomorrow, I will embark on another exciting and yet challenging journey...  I am heading to rural Cambodia to help rebuild a much needed help 8th grade classroom at Chea Smonn School.  

There is no doubt that plenty of unknown will come my way and I will be tested everyday.  

I need to gather my positive thoughts and ignore those harmful self doubt.  

So... I've decided to start blogging and take it as a way to show my courage and own my fear!   I may still make grammatical mistakes (so what!) but my sharing will be authentic.  

I hope my 'coming from the heart' sharing / blogging will bring you a sense of how people live in rural Cambodia and what real impact we can make to empower them to shape their own stories.
