PeopleStories Football Cup 2022
Many of the schools in the rural Cambodia have football teams but often sports are offered to boys and not the girls. PeopleStories strongly believes in gender equalit and the power of sports education.
We’re very excited to host a football tournament again this year and the grand final will be on May 28th. Our love for sports is strong and our love for gender equality is even stronger! Working together with our supporting schools, girls football teams are now established and the girls are competing in our tournament too!

Sharing the Love of Sports
Successful education heavily relies on a positive learning culture and environment. We, at PeopleStories, believe academic learning and sports education complement each other.
In June 2019, 2 very special volunteers - Des and her son Jaxon joined us at Phum Ou Primary school.
We managed to coach 4 classes of sports including football and netball.

It Pays to Plays! Would you agree that “All work and no play” is detrimental to not only our work, but more importantly to our happiness? “Work Hard Play Hard “- It’s a bit cliché and we all get the ‘work hard’ part but I think we at PeopleStories have found new and positive twist of the ‘play hard’ part. |

A sports ground can become a means of driving diversity! I cannot over emphasise the impact it has when I, as a woman and the leader of the PeopleStories team, arranged a football tournament for teams of boys AND girls.
Hear the joy of equality and true sports-man&woman-ship, after a well-deserved win in the football tournament |
