COVID19 and Quality Education
The pandemic has exposed many gaps in our education systems around the world, especially with 51 weeks of school closures in Cambodia since March 2021.
A recent report from United Nations highlighted that 3.2 million students in Cambodia are impacted by COVID19 and 30% of them are unable to continue learning during school closures. Furthermore, 70% of the Camboidan students have no access to online learning. Together with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, PeopleStories is excited to bring Smart School Anhwere to Bakong District Rural Siem Reap starting from 2022. |

From 'Chalk to Talk' to Digital Education
In rural Cambodia, technology not only enables better learning experiences, but it can fundamentally transform access to knowledge.
On March 16, 2021, Cambodia has gone into another round of school closures due to the spike in COVID19 cases and many of the students once again are not engaged in learning. One thing we have witnessed is the adaptiveness and resilience of some local teachers in overcoming the challenges that school closures brought to their education eco-system. PeopleStories won’t be successful on this important journey of transforming rural education from “Chalk & Talk” to Digital without the collaboration from good partners. Drop us an email at [email protected] if you are interested to collaborate to make a difference to the many lives of the children in Cambodia. |
