COVID-19 has impacted many lives but the poor are hit the hardest and this includes many families in rural Cambodia. Tourist arrivals dropped by close to 90% since Feb 2020 and many people in the villages have lost their jobs without the support of any social benefits.
PeopleStories is doing our part to give a helping hand to the children and their families in need.

Our 6th COVID-19 Relief Delivery
May 15 - 17, 2021
Our local team at PeopleStories continues to deiver the much needed Covid19 Relief Packages to the children in rual villages.
They spent 3 days to visit all 7 of our partnered sceomdary and high schools, and to meet our 120 scholarship children and their families. These packages include 20kg of rice, 15packs of noodles and 4packs of milk for each of our 120 scholarship children and their families. We couldn't be more proud of all the hard work and support of our teachers and volunteers. It truly does take a village to move mountains (2.5 tons of rice in our case) and together we ARE making a difference. As rural Cambodian communities continue to navigate through the challenges of the pandemic, PeopleStories remains strong and is committed to serve the children with greater access to education. Digital learning and keeping students engaged must continue. Education is power! |

Back to School, woohoo!
After 8 months of school closures, we are happy to see students are back at school again (finally)! To encourage disadvantaged families to send their children back to school, PeopleStories charity is delighted to welcome them with a ‘Back to School’ pack. A small gift including Reusable Mask, Hand Sanitizer, School Supplies and Rice are there to reduce some pressure and make life a little bit easier for everyone. Thank you again to our volunteers Veasna Chhor, Jeff Ng and Pok Sarith for putting the children and their families first! And being the driving force of PeopleStories. Appreciate all the hard work from the teachers and their empowerment to students returning to school. Since the pandemic, PeopleStories has provided 5.2 tones of rice, 1,600 eggs, 408 bottles of hand sanitizers, 294 packs of school supplies, 274 masks, 220 litre of sanitiser refill and so much more… |

COVID 19 continues to impact many lives in rural Cambodia. PeopleStories is grateful to be able to continue to face the challenges together with the students and families who are in urgent need. Since April, we have gifted 4.4 tonnes of rice, 1,380 eggs, 230 storybooks, 60 packs of school supply, 8 tins of milk powder…and more importantly to show our care to the communities. Our 2nd COVID-19 Relief Delivery

Our local team at PeopleStories was gearing up again for our 2nd Relief Package Program to those vulnerable students and their families in rural Cambodia.
So far, we have gifted 2 tons of rice and 170 storybooks to the families in need. Equally important, we listened to the many who have lost their jobs, can’t repay their bank loans, have no land to grow anything, and some students even have to start working to helping the family. Truly tough times and the already poor are being hit the hardest! United by compassion and love, we hope the packages will give the students and their families not only some financial relief but also a sense of hope and a #TasteOfPositivity. |

We think that #CabinFever is tough but let’s think for a moment about those families who struggle to put food on the table for their families.
On April 10, 2020, PeopleStories geared up to spread some positivity! Our relief packages of more than 1 ton of rice for our scholarship students who all come from a poor background are ready! There are also 170 storybooks for them to stay interested in reading (online learning is non-existent). Let them know that somewhere, someone in this world really cares about them! |
