Luck or Perseverance?

"When I was only 8 months old, both of my parents were executed in the nearby killing fields.  Luckily my older siblings took me with them and we survived this difficult time.    We didn't have much back then and sometimes didn't even have

enough food to eat.  I only finished grade 5 as my family couldn't afford to send me to school when I was young.  When I was 18, I started selling noodles on the side of the street.   One of my legs isn't good and it affects my mobility.  One of my daughters, who is 13 years old, is working with me at the noodle shop.  She stopped school early too as she is not smart enough to study.  My husband fixes motorbikes for others in the village.  I have 3 children and my dream is for them to find good jobs."
