A Heart of Gold!

"When I was 13, I almost died from illness.  For a period of 3 months, I had to bed rest and my father was looking after me all that time.  I dreamed of seeing a crowd of people on slippery mud. They shouted for help as they were falling from a tall bridge and I was warning them to be careful. I could never forget about this dream! ...

Anyway, the doctor even told my family that I wouldn't live pass 6pm on a particular day! Here I am... after all these years.... I am now a director of my own community centre, not only offering free education but also food and clean water to the poor families in great need. Why am I doing these? I guess it has to do with me coming from a poor family... I have 8 siblings and some of us could not afford to go to school. When I saw others who could read and write, I wanted to be one of them. I was a temple boy for some years where I got educated and further obtained teaching qualification. I funded my own university tuition fee by giving private lessons to students. In 2011, I finally built a classroom (open air) at my home and started teaching students from the village. To support my community centre, I also work as a motorbike driver during weekends. I am poor but I am rich in life!"
