New Year New Team

The first week of 2022 is off and running and so is the work at PeopleStories. A Team Development Program has been created and it is the time now to learn, create, and work together to find the best possible ways to be of service to the children and their education.  ​

With our Smart School Anywhere - Mobile Classroom launching in early 2022, we're using this time with our local team in Cambodia to get away from their everyday routines and focus on their own development.  
 
The team travelled to the capital city, Phnom Penh, and spent the entire week focusing on areas of Learning, Coaching, Technology, On-the-Job Experience at a University, Communication, Forming a PeopleStories local team, and Building a Coaches Community.  
 
Such a wonderful opportunity for these team members! This undoubtedly forged them forward not only in their work with us but also in their personal and professional lives.  ​

​We checked in with teacher Sarith to see how his week went and he was eager to express how great the trip was. The team learned a lot of new and different topics. Although Sarith was candid in saying how tiring the days were, the team had fun with all of their facilitators. He shared, “This is a very important program and it is the way to build up a team to be strong and progressive together. We’re lucky to be members of the PeopleStories team, especially being right here in Cambodia.” ​

Founder and CEO of PeopleStories, Victoria shares her excitement about this new team, "Ultimately, we hope to excite, engage and empower the team to support the children in rural Cambodia to quality education. 
 
On the 4th day of this mind-widening development program, our local team had a chance not only visiting a reputable university in the capital city of Phnom Penh but to spend a day shadowing some of the highly skilled lecturers on how to use technology to learn and coach. 
 
Our newest member Sovann shared with much excitement, “It was such a precious learning and work experience at University of Puthisastra, where I asked many questions and witnessed the importance of coaching.  I am so determined to support PeopleStories to help the many children in our rural villages.” ​

This first week in January no doubt is a very rewarding one.  What an exciting way to begin a new year!  Brushing up on existing skills and learning brand new ones. All to best help the children in rural Cambodia complete school.
