Celebrating 7 Years of PeopleStories: Transforming Lives Through Education November 6 marks a significant milestone for PeopleStories as we celebrate our 7th anniversary. Over the past seven years, we have been committed to empowering children in rural Cambodia by providing them with access to quality education and life-changing opportunities. This anniversary is not just a celebration of our development work but a tribute to the incredible community of supporters, volunteers, and educators who have made this journey possible. A Journey of Transformation Founded in 2017 by Victoria Miloschewsky, PeopleStories started with a simple yet profound vision: to empower children through education and help them achieve their dreams. What began as a project capturing the stories of children and families in rural Cambodia has grown into a dynamic development agency supporting thousands of children across the many rural villages. Through our efforts, we have provided scholarships, school infrastructure, bicycles, and learning materials, ensuring that education is not just a dream but a reality for these children. Over 3,000 children across 13 schools have benefited from our programs, with the dropout rate among scholarship recipients reduced to less than 5% - a significant achievement in a country where the average dropout rate hovers around 20%.
Digital and Life-Skill Learning: The introduction of the Mobile Digital School has transformed traditional teaching methods by bringing digital learning and life-skills to rural Cambodia, equipping children with the tools they need for the future. Our Key Initiatives In the last seven years, PeopleStories has implemented a variety of impactful programs designed to break the cycle of poverty through education: School for Life Scholarship: Close to 1,000 of children have been supported with scholarships, giving them the chance to continue their education and strive for a brighter future.
Looking Forward As we celebrate seven incredible years, we also look forward to the future. Our mission remains as strong as ever: to continue empowering children through education and to reach even more schools and communities in Cambodia. With your continued support, we can expand our programs and ensure that even more children can dream big and pursue their aspirations. Join Us in Celebrating As we mark this milestone, we invite you to be part of the next chapter of PeopleStories. Help us continue transforming lives through education by donating, volunteering, or simply sharing our mission. Together, we can empower the next generation of Cambodian children to achieve their dreams. Story written by: Volunteer Caroline van ‘t Hoff
